Sariska Tiger Reserves is one of the most famous national parks in India. It is located in the Alwar District of the state of Rajasthan. Earlier this area was a hunting ground of the former Alwar state and it was stated as a wildlife reserve in 1955.

In the year of 1978, it was become a part of India’s Project Tiger Scheme and declared as a Tiger Reserve. The present area of Sariska National Park is 866 square kilometer. This famous park is situated at the distance of 107 km from Jaipur and 200 km from Delhi the capital of India.

Fauna in Sariska
Major wildlife & animals found in this park are royal Bengal tigers, leopards, jackals, jungle cats, caracals, striped hyenas, spotted deer, nilgai, chinkaras, four-horned antelope, golden jackals, wild boar, boar, hanuman langurs, monkeys and planet of reptiles and bird species.

Fauna in Sariska
Dominant tree found in the forest of Sariska is Dhok. Trees like Salar, Kadaya, Dhak, Gol, Arjun, Gugal, Bamboo, etc are also found in the jungle of Sariska. Kair, Adusta, and Jhar Bet are common shrubs found in the park.

Sariska National Park is easily accessible from Delhi. The nearest main town is Alwar. The nearest airport is at Jaipur. The Nearest Railhead is at Alwar.
