During the Ganesha Chaturathi festival people lose themselves in singing bhajan and devotional songs. The idols 0f lord Ganesha is decorated with beautiful golden ornaments and Marigold flowers. People take a holy bath and offer prayers glowing diyas, burning insence sticks and offering flowers and fruits. Once the festival is over at last they distribute Prasad. Festival is carried out in a special way with step wise as preached by the priest (Pundit Maharaj). Some people keep fasting for three to four and totally get lose in offering prayer to lord Ganesha. When the Puja gets over people singing devotional songs prepare for visarjan or drowning of idol in the sacred rivers.
