Sonepur is also popular tourist places in Bihar. It is noted for its cattle fair which is celebrated annually around month of November. It is just 25 km away from Patna. Sonepur Fair is the largest cattle fair in Asia. Hariharnath Temple is a worth visit temple in Sonepur. The temple is dedicated to Hindu Lord Vishnu.
Nalanda, Rajgir and Pawapuri are three popular tourist places in Nalanda district of Bihar. Nalanda is world famous with ancient Nalanda University which is now in the state of ruins. The beautiful hill town of Rajgir, Bihar is also famous for as health and winter resort with its hot water springs (also known as Kunds). It is believed that the springs here contain medicinal properties to cure all types of skin diseases.
