Located at an altitude of 3500 m above the sea level in Arunachal Pradesh, Tawang is a beautiful hill station. It covers the area of 2085 square kilometers. It is surrounded by Tibet in the North, Kameng in the East, and Bhutan in the southwest. It is separate from the west by the beautiful Sela ranges.

Set amidst picturesque forested mountains, the highland town of Tawang is one of the popular hill stations in Arunachal Pradesh and Eastern India. This beautiful town is called by several names like the Beautiful Land of Monpas, the Hidden Paradise and the Land of Dawn-lit Mountains. According to local people Merak Lama gave the name Tawang to this hill resort in the 17th century AD. During the medieval times Tawang was at part of the kingdom of Tibet. Tawang was invaded by the Chinese army in 1962 but they later withdrew.

The picturesque hill town of Tawang has landscapes, history, religion and architecture to offer its visitors. There are a number of monasteries and nunneries in this town. Tawang is world famous for monasteries. It has the largest Buddhist Monastery in India. It is the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. The magnificent Tawang Monastery houses a 5.5 m high statue of Lord Buddha. Tourists from all over the world come to visit Tawang Monastery.

Day 01 : Arrival at Guwahati

After entry formalities and lunch, enter Arunachal Pradesh noted for copious nature beauty. Drive to Bomdilla. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 03 : Bomdilla – Tawang
In the early morning visit the upper and lower Buddhist monasteries at Bomdilla. After hearty breakfast at the hotel, drive to Tawang Hill Station world famous for its bounty nature and magnificent Buddhist monasteries. On arrival at Tawang, check-in at your pre-booked hotel. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 04 : Tawang
Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Visit ancient 350 year old Buddhist Monasteries locally called Gompa. Also visit some other Buddhist monasteries, and several picturesque places and sights. In time return back to hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 05 : Tawang – Dirang
In the early morning drive to Jung to see enchanting waterfalls, and spectacular sights. Return to hotel at Tawang for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Dirang stopping en route at Sela Top. You will see copious nature beauty on the way. Dinner & overnight stay will be at hotel at Dirang.

Day 06 : Dirang – Nameri National Park
Explore Sangti Valley in the morning hours. After an early lunch, drive to Nameri National Park. Dinner & overnight stay will be at Eco Camp.

Day 07 : Nameri National Park – Tezpur – Guwahati
In the early morning explore tiger trails of the park. After breakfast, drive to Tezpur. On arrival explore the city. Later drive to Guwahati. Check-in at hotel. Dinner & overnight will be at hotel.

Day 08 : Guwahati – Departure
