Khandala and Lonavala are twin hill stations in Maharashtra discovered in 1871 by Sir Elphinstone, the Governor of the Bombay Presidency. Khandala is a beautiful hill station in the Western Ghats in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is about three kilometers away from one another picturesque hill station called Lonavala. Both Khandala and Lonavala are popular charming and beautiful hill stations and very popular among tourists, vacationers, nature lovers and families. Khandala is about 7 km away from Karjat, a small city in Maharashtra. Khandala & Lonavala are located in the district of Pune. Lonavala is about 64 km away from the city of Pune and 96 km away from Mumbai.
