Bhimtal is a small but beautiful hill station & town located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand, Northern India. It is located amongst the famous Kumaon hills. It is located at the distance of 23 km only from the famous hill station of Nainital. The origin of this hill town is difficult to understand. According to myth, this town got its name from Bhim, one of the legendary personalities and central characters of great Indian epic of Mahabharata. The major attraction in Bhimtal is the Bhimtal Lake which has an island its centre.

Today this hill town has been one of the best places to visit on Nainital tours and travels.
